A production comprised of traditional and contemporary dances, rhythms and songs from Liberia, Guinea, Mali, Sene-Gambia Region and Ghana, West Africa.
Celebration dances of welcome, rites of passage, marriage, birth, harvest etc.
DANCES OF THE CARIBBEAN
NAJWA Dance Corps brings the traditions of the Caribbean to life with dances portraying a jubilant carnival, a typical market day, fire dance, limbo and
“Sacred And Secular dances of Haiti”.
AFRICAN-AMERICAN HERITAGE DANCE COLLECTION
Performances of a variety dance styles including the charleston, black bottom, lindy hop/ jitterbug, tap, traditional (swing) jazz, popular social dances of the late
50s- 60s, hip hop and Afro-fusion.
